Matt Schultheiss, owner and operator of SoundWizards Mobile DJ Service, has firmly established roots in St. Johns.  His love of entertainment began in the theatre department at St. Johns High School.  His creative passions led him to pursue adventures and employment as far away as Alaska, where he worked for a period of time as a club DJ.

Now resettled with his family in St. Johns, Matt enjoys working with couples and celebrants to create the perfect atmosphere for any event.  His uncanny ability to play the perfect song at the perfect moment all but guarantees a full dance floor.

Matt also enjoys creating the best and biggest Halloween display in all of St. Johns.  Every October, people drive from miles away to see his display of handmade props and special effects.  His Halloween spectacle is another example of his love of theatre, as he coordinates all of the essential elements of an event in order to create a picture-perfect memory for neighborhood children and their parents.  The lighting, sound effects, fog, and numerous moving props have become something the community anticipates every year.

Matt also believes in giving to the community in other ways.  As the DJ for the Cancer Relay for the last two years, Matt has played music for 24 hours straight during inclement weather in order to ensure a more pleasant atmosphere for those participating.  In addition, he has provided services to RAVE, the Michigan Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, and is the preferred DJ for several area schools who appreciate the severely discounted rate he offers to nonprofits.
